Judge dispara jonrón y Yanquis vuelven a vencer a Guardianes en Serie de Campeonato

Aaron Judge disparó un cuadrangular y remolcó tres carreras para cargar con el peso ofensivo de los Yanquis de Nueva York en su segunda victoria en la Serie de Campeonato de la Liga Americana, al vencer este martes por 6-3 a los Guardianes de Cleveland.

Los Yanquis (2-0) ahora viajarán al Progressive Field de Cleveland, donde los Guardianes (0-2) tratarán el próximo jueves de conseguir su primera victoria en la serie que se disputa al mejor de siete encuentros.

El jonrón de Judge, quien lideró las Grandes Ligas en tablazos de vuelta completa (58) en la serie regular, fue su primero en la actual postemporada.

Los Yanquis lograron pisar el plato en la misma primera entrada, cuando el campocorto Brayan Rocchio, quien fue anunciado este martes entre los finalistas al Guante de Oro, falló al intentar atrapar un elevado de Judge, lo que permitió que el también venezolano Gleyber Torres anotara desde la antesala.

Los de Nueva York continuaron al ataque en la parte baja de la segunda entrada, agregando dos vueltas más, la primera de ellas por doble por la zona del jardín izquierdo del mexicano Alex Verdugo, empujando hasta la timbradora a Anthony Volpe.

La segunda anotación de los Yanquis en ese segundo acto, llegó en las piernas de Anthony Rizzo, quien avanzó hasta el plato, desde la antesala, con elevado de sacrificio al jardín central de Judge.

Los Guardianes respondieron en la parte alta del quinto capítulo, con un elevado de sacrificio al bosque derecho de Josh Naylor, el cual permitió que Steven Kwan pudiera anotar la primera carrera para los visitantes, quienes sumaron una vuelta más en ese quinto rollo, por batazo de Will Brennan a la inicial, para jugada de selección, con el cual Kyle Manzardo pudo anotar.

Los dirigidos por Aaron Boone volvieron a la carga en la sexta, cuando tras doble de Rizzo, Brennan cometió un error, con el cual Volpe pudo llegar a salvo hasta la registradora.

Judge se encargó de dictar sentencia en el séptimo episodio, cuando encontró un picheo sobre el plato del relevista Hunter Gaddis, el cual conectó, enviando la pelota a las gradas del prado central del Yankee Stadium, con Torres en las bases, para ampliar la ventaja de los Yanquis.

El dominicano José Ramírez disparó un jonrón solitario en la novena entrada para sumar otra vuelta a la cuenta de los Guardianes.

El as de los Yanquis, Gerrit Cole, no se mostró con el dominio que impuso en su salida anterior, permitiendo seis imparables, cuatro bases y dos carreras, abandonando el encuentro tras 4.1 entradas, en las que ponchó a cuatro rivales, y no pudo optar por la victoria.

El triunfo fue para Clay Holmes (2-0), quien laboró dos tercios de entrada en blanco.

El abridor de los Guardianes, Tanner Bibee (0-1) apenas pudo completar 1.1 entradas de tres vueltas, dos de ellas limpia, y por segundo partido consecutivo, el dirigente Stephen Vogt que apelar temprano a su cuerpo de relevistas, teniendo que utilizar a nueve lanzadores para completar el encuentro.

Por los Yanquis, Torres anotó dos vueltas, Verdugo produjo una carrera y el dominicano Juan Soto pegó un indiscutible.

Ramírez logró un vuelacercas por los Guardianes.
