El el campo de a musica clasica, el compositor y director de orquesta, Gustavo Dudamel recibió el Grammy a mejor actuación de una orquesta por Adès: Dante’, con la filarmonica de Los Angeles.
Dudamel se competia con la directora estadounidense Karina Canellakis, de los Países Bajos, por ‘Bartók: Concerto For Orchestra’; y contra el finlandés Esa-Pekka Salonen, de la Sinfónica de San Francisco, con ‘Stravinsky: The Rite Of Spring’, entre otros.
